Hello! My name is Katie Cuellar, and I am the proud Founder and Owner of Chances and Dreams.

After years of leading operations for ABA, Speech Therapy, and Occupational Therapy clinics, I knew it was time to create something different—a clinic where children are celebrated, families feel supported, and learning happens through play.

Born and raised in Texas, I earned my certification in Medical Coding and Billing before receiving my Bachelor of Science in Finance, combining my passion for healthcare with strong business leadership.

As a hands-on owner and single mother of three amazing children, I understand the importance of finding a team you can trust. Being a mom has taught me patience, resilience, compassion, and the value of celebrating every milestone—lessons I carry into our clinic each day. I'm actively involved in the day-to-day operations, working alongside our team to ensure every child receives exceptional care and every family feels welcomed, supported, and heard.

I am honored to be a 2025 CR Unite Autism & IDD CARE Award recipient and to have volunteered at the 2026 Moms of Autism of Houston Autism Festival, where the Chances and Dreams team earned 2nd Place out of more than 70 vendors.

As a breast cancer warrior, I continue to lead with strength, gratitude, and purpose. My mission is simple—to make a lasting difference in the lives of children and their families by creating a place where every child is given the opportunity to learn, grow, and reach their fullest potential.

Hi, my name is Kat! I was born and raised in Houston, Texas, and I am proud to serve as the Intake and Referral Coordinator at Chances and Dreams. I have the privilege of being one of the first points of contact for families as they begin their journey with our team, and I truly enjoy helping them feel welcomed, supported, and comfortable throughout the intake and referral process.

My passion for working with children has always been a big part of who I am. Before joining Chances and Dreams, I worked as a nanny for three years, where I had the opportunity to care for children, support their development, and build meaningful relationships with the families I worked with.

My connection to the autism community is also personal, as I have a nephew with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Being part of his life has given me an even greater appreciation for each child’s individuality and for the importance of having compassionate, supportive people surrounding both children and their families.

I am also a proud mom to a two-year-old little boy, who inspires me every day to continue growing both personally and professionally. I am currently attending San Jacinto College as I work toward a future career in the medical field. While I am still exploring which path I would like to pursue, I know that helping and caring for others will always be at the heart of what I do.

Being part of the Chances and Dreams team allows me to combine my love for children, families, and healthcare in a meaningful way. I am grateful for the opportunity to help families take their first steps with us and to be part of a team that celebrates every child’s unique abilities, milestones, and dreams.

​Hello! My name is Zachery Wright, and I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with nearly four years of experience providing compassionate, evidence-based care to children and their families.

Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working with children across various settings, including clinics, schools, in-home services, and telehealth. These diverse experiences have allowed me to develop a well-rounded, individualized approach to therapy while helping families navigate each step of their child's unique journey.

Originally from Ohio, I relocated to Texas in 2023. While I'm still getting used to the Texas heat, I've truly enjoyed exploring my new home, discovering scenic places, and becoming part of the community. Outside of work, I love spending time outdoors, making memories with my family, and enjoying life with our two Bernese Mountain dogs.

As the proud father of three children, I understand firsthand the joys, challenges, and responsibilities that come with raising a family. Being a parent has strengthened my passion for providing compassionate, family-centered care and has given me a deeper appreciation for the trust families place in those who care for their children. I believe the strongest outcomes happen when families and clinicians work together as one team. My passion is helping children build meaningful skills that foster greater independence, confidence, and success in their everyday lives. I strive to create individualized treatment plans that focus on each child's unique strengths while empowering families through collaboration, education, and evidence-based practices.

Hello! My name is Jessica, and I am a Registered and Licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR) at Chances and Dreams in Pearland, Texas.

I earned my Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Florida A&M University in 2021. From the very beginning of my career, I knew my passion was working with children, and I have dedicated my professional journey to helping them build the skills and confidence they need to succeed. I have extensive experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and am passionate about providing individualized, family-centered care that helps every child reach their fullest potential.

At Chances and Dreams, I provide occupational therapy services while collaborating closely with our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), and families to support each child's independence and overall development. I also mentor and supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) to ensure our families receive high-quality, ethical, and compassionate care.

My approach focuses on meeting each child where they are while encouraging growth through engaging, play-based therapy. Whether we're working on sensory processing, fine motor skills, self-care, emotional regulation, or daily living skills, my goal is to help children become more confident and independent in their everyday lives.

As a former collegiate student-athlete, I bring dedication, perseverance, and teamwork into everything I do. I am also a Certified Infant Massage Coach (CIMC), allowing me to incorporate sensory-based techniques that promote regulation, bonding, and early childhood development.

Originally from Florida, I relocated to Houston in 2022 to begin my occupational therapy career. Outside of work, I enjoy crafting, DIY projects, traveling, and spending quality time with my family.

Hey! My name is Jerjean Casalem, COTA/L, and I’m so excited to be part of the Chances & Dreams family! 💙

I am a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant with more than five years of experience in healthcare. My background includes pediatric occupational therapy, home health, rehabilitation, and caregiving, which has given me the opportunity to support children and families in many different stages of their journey.

I have a passion for helping children build confidence, gain independence, and develop the skills they need to thrive in their everyday lives. I believe therapy should be encouraging, individualized, hands-on, and—most importantly—FUN! ✨

I enjoy helping children work on skills such as fine-motor development, self-care and daily-living skills, sensory processing, strengthening, functional movement, and participating more independently in everyday routines. Every child is unique, and I love finding creative ways to build on their individual strengths while helping them reach meaningful goals.

I also believe parents and caregivers are such an important part of the therapy process. You know your child best! I value working closely with families so that the skills we build during therapy can carry over into your child’s everyday life at home, at school, and in the community.

My goal is for every child I work with to feel supported, understood, confident, capable, and proud of every milestone they achieve—big or small! 💫

A little about me outside of therapy: I enjoy strength training, healthy cooking, gardening, and learning about health and wellness. My love for movement and healthy living connects closely with what I love about occupational therapy—helping others build strength, independence, and confidence in everything they do.
